Pley Early Years

Alto Play School, earlier known as Play School of Goa, was started in the year 1978 by Late Mrs. Divyanandini Sail. The school started with just a handful of students and has now blossomed into a center with more than 900 students on the rolls. Over the years, Pley early years has made a humble contribution to the field of education by providing quality pre-school education.

The Playgroup started its journey on 10th January 2016 with 16 students. Mrs. Reshma Menezes and Ms. Sumitra D’Souza are the Co-Founders of Playgroup Alto Porvorim Goa. Both of them are qualified teachers with vast experience in teaching pre-primary students.

When one thinks of the early days of play schools in India, Alto Education and Care Services at Porvorim in Goa is one of the names that comes to mind. It was in 1991 that Mr. and Mrs. D’Souza started with a modest setup of 4 pre-schoolers in their living room. From there began their journey of over 26 years, during which they have touched the lives of over 10,000 children and helped over 1,000 young minds blossom into tomorrow’s leaders.

Play School was started in the year 1972 at Porvorim, Goa. It was the brainchild of Mrs. Manuela Reis Da Silva who envisaged an exclusive pre-primary institution that would cater to the holistic development of children in their formative years. The school has always striven to fulfil its motto which is “Nurture and Nature go Hand in Hand”. Hence, from the Nursery level itself, emphasis is laid on inculcating moral values and good habits.
